Far away in a field

Can you tell I LOVE these snappy dragons (AKA snapdragons)? 

Super close, they remind me of overflowing ice cream cones. I guess I will 

have to find a place to plant them at Whimplewood...

Roots

This is a big bunch of beet roots at a local farm stand. Have you ever seen roots like these? Normally, the bottom of the roots don't look so wild and wiry. They were all so beautiful piled on top of each other; I couldn't buy any and remove even one so I photographed them instead. I bet they were delicious!
