Calling All Beauty Experts: Feather Fashion Crisis

Getting ready for a Valentine's Day party...which hair,  I mean feather, style do you like? And which is my best side? I have to be ready in case the damn paparazzi show up...they always do!!

Mousse, my right side, or

No mousse with feather extensions, my right side again, or

No mousse, no feather extensions (Do I look fat?), my left side?

Please help Little Blue Heron. This golf course doesn't have any mirrors!

Behold The Perfect Cookie

The perfect ratio of fat to sugar to chocolate! Crisp on the outside but soft and gooey on the inside. Notice the oozing chocolate chip!! Heaven with every bite.

They say that God is in the details. I think he or she is also in the kitchen!

Peacock Portraits

I have always wanted to see a peacock expand his tail in full regalia. When I have seen peacocks in a zoo, they are always moving and shifting their heads in an unpredictable way. It is difficult to even get a head shot.

And then this peacock at the Dreher Park Zoo (in Palm Beach, Florida) blossomed right in front of me. He stopped me in my tracks. He modeled his plumage, clearly impressing a few chicks, human and fowl. He walked very slowly and then stopped, holding his stance and then ever so slowly turning to display all sides of his finery. He repeated this a few times. In the second shot here he is turning. His front and back sides are stunning, but I like showing a little of both.

He deserves our attention, doesn't he?
